Beyond the Plains Safaris is a Kenya-registered tour operator based in Nairobi, Kenya. We operate the website at ads.beyondtheplainssafaris.com (this landing page) as well as our main website at www.beyondtheplainssafaris.com.

We are a member of the Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) and operate under the Kenya Tourism Act and related regulations.

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit this page.

Information you provide directly (via the inquiry form or WhatsApp):

• Budget range and any other safari planning details you choose to share

Information collected automatically:

• Browser type and device type (mobile or desktop)

• Google Click ID (gclid) for ad attribution, if you arrived via a Google Ad
• UTM parameters (campaign, source, medium, keyword) for analytics
• Session-level data stored temporarily in your browser's sessionStorage

We do not collect payment card details, government ID, or sensitive personal categories of data through this website.

03 How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only for the following purposes:

• To respond to your safari inquiry — our safari planners use your name, contact details, and travel preferences to send you a custom itinerary and quote.
• To communicate with you about your safari — follow-up emails or WhatsApp messages related to your specific inquiry.
• To improve our advertising — anonymous, aggregated conversion data (e.g. form submissions) is shared with Google Ads to measure campaign performance. This does not identify you personally.
• To analyse page performance — anonymous usage data via Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors interact with this page.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not add you to marketing email lists without your explicit consent.

04 How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Elfsight (form processor) — our inquiry form is powered by Elfsight. Your form submission data is processed by Elfsight's servers and delivered to our email. Elfsight's privacy policy is available at elfsight.com/privacy-policy.
• Google (analytics and advertising) — we use Google Analytics and Google Ads. Google may receive anonymised, aggregated data to measure ad performance. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Legal requirement — if required by Kenyan law or a court order, we may disclose information to the relevant authority.

No third party receives your personal details for their own marketing purposes.

05 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This page uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

• Google Analytics — measures page views, session duration, and traffic sources. Uses cookies prefixed _ga and _gid. Data is anonymised and aggregated.
• Google Ads (gclid) — when you arrive via a Google Ad, Google sets a gclid parameter in the URL. This is used to attribute conversions (form submissions) to the ad that brought you here.

06 How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your inquiry details (name, email, travel preferences) for up to 24 months from the date of your inquiry. This allows us to follow up if your travel plans change and to reference past correspondence if you return as a guest.

If your safari proceeds to booking, we retain booking-related correspondence for up to 5 years for operational and regulatory purposes.

07 Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data. We will do so within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain it.
• Withdrawal of consent — if you have consented to any use of your data, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
• Objection — object to our processing of your data for specific purposes.
